How to Submit

Author Submission Process

  • Author selects which section of the Journal they are submitting to
  • They read and agree to the submission requirements by checking the boxes
  • Include comments for the editor
  • Read the journal's privacy statement
  • Author selects article component
  • Author uploads their file
    • Only one file can be uploaded at a time
    • Any additional files can be uploaded later in this step
  • Edit the name of your uploaded file
  • Repeat this process with any additional files
  • Prefix and Title
  • Subtitle
  • Abstract
  • Contributors
  • Possible additional fields:
    • Keywords
  • Author confirms details of submission
  • Finish submission
  • Review this submission
  • Create a new submission
  • Return to your dashboard
  • Once submitted, authors cannot make any changes to the submission (contact the editor through the Pre-Review Discussions tool to discuss any needed changes)
  • After the review process has been completed, authors will receive an email notifying you that a decision has been made.
  • Login to your dashboard and select the Review link to view the decision and the editor's notification
  • If a revision is requested, upload the revised file in the Revisions panel
    • The editor will receive a notification of new files being uploaded
    • Can also inform editor using the Review Discussion panel
    • You will receive an email that your revisions have been accepted, along with notifications on your dashboard
  • If a resubmit for review is requested, select the article in your submissions page and upload the new file in the revisions section
    • Add a discussion to notify the editor of your revisions
    • Wait for the next round of the peer-review process

 

  • An email will be sent notifying authors that files are available for viewing on their dashboards
  • Entry will be located in the My Authored panel
    • View the copyedited submission in the Copyediting Discussions panel
    • Respond to the editor to accept the submission or request any changes
  • An email will be sent notifying authors of available files
  • On your dashboard, under the My Authored panel, select the Production link next to your submission
    • Under Production Discussions, authors can view the message containing the galleys of your submission
    • Respond to the Layout Editor with an approval or request for revisions
