Creating Galleys
To ease the process of converting submission files into galleys, create a formatting template for all submissions and attach it in your Author Guidelines
Creating Galleys from a Word Document-
PDF: "Save As" a PDF in Microsoft Word
HTML: Convert the Word document to an HTML file, clean up and format the file in a text or HTML editor, and upload to OJS as an HTML galley file
ePUB: Use a conversion tool (may require cleanup after conversion)
Audio files: Have someone read the article into a voice recorder or use a Text to Speech software
XML: Use a conversion tool (can also learn to create XML files for yourself)
