Law Enforcement Records

The permanent records from the law enforcement records schedule include:

  • Federal Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics (Clery Act)
    Annual security reports and crime statistic logs.
          – hold 3 years after date of publication then transfer to the University Archives

  • Non-sustained Complaint Reports Against Officers
    Citizen complaint logs.
          – hold 5 years after closure of case then transfer to the University Archives

  • Operation Plans
    Organizational documents for sporting events, social events, VIP visits, or special operations to counter criminal activity.
          – hold 5 years after completion of event or operation then transfer to the University Archives
