The CNC 'computer numerical control' machines uses a subtractive manufacturing process through which a custom design image is cut into a stock piece using computerized machine tools to remove layers of material.

Thermoforming involves the process of heating a plastic sheet until it is soft and then draping it over a mold. A vacuuming process is applied to suck the sheet onto the mold. The molded sheet is then removed from the mold.
