Welcome to the UIC Library of Health Sciences (LHS)!
LHS has an Original i3 Prusa MK3S+ 3D printer available for faculty, staff, and students to use.
Below are our guidelines for requesting 3D prints:
- Requests must abide by the Fabrication Lab policies.
- Due to limited staffing, an individual may request 1 print per month.
- If a request takes over 4 hours to print, you will receive an email asking for approval for your item to be scaled down.
- If you know your request may take over 4 hours, please indicate in your email that it can be scaled down.
- We are unable to accommodate specific filament color requests.
- Items will be printed using PLA filament.
- Please allow up to two weeks for your request to be completed.
- Please email your 3D print request as an STL file to: jaimeg5@uic.edu
