Guide to Research Guides: Print Resources

When recommending print books to users, please select relevant books from the library catalog. Don't overwhelm the user with long lists (over a dozen items); instead subdivide lists into useful categories or subheadings.

• Create a new standard box
• Click on Add/Reorder and select "Books from the Catalog"
• Add ISBN to bring up book info
• Add UIC Call Number and URL to the catalog to make each book a link.

To add a book or item that is unique to the UIC catalog, follow the same steps but click on "other" under cover art to upload your picture of the item.
