The Dramatists Guild of America is a professional organization for playwrights, composers, and lyricists working in the U.S. theatre market. The Guild works to "protect and promote professional interests of authors of dramatic and dramatico-musical works, to protect their rights in such works, and to improve the conditions under which their works are created and produced."

The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) is a labor union representing thousands of writers who write the television shows, movies, news programs, documentaries, animation, videogames and new media content. (From WGA website)

The Writers Guild of America, East, AFL-CIO (WGAE) is a labor union representing thousands of members who write content for motion pictures, television, news and online media. The Guild negotiates and administers contracts that protect the creative and economic rights of its members; conducts programs, seminars and events on issues of interest to writers; and presents writers’ views to various bodies of government.
