What is Dissemination?

  • Dissemination is the targeted distribution of information to a specific audience

Giving Presentations

Speaking in Public

  • Arrive early; Meet with moderator; Test slides and AV equipment
  • Dress comfortably in professional/business attire
  • Make eye contact with and always face your audience; Move about the room
  • Don’t read your presentation directly from the slides; Practice!
  • Know your audience; Use clear language; Speak slowly and clearly; Thank them for their attendance

Q and A

  • Be prepared; Anticipate the questions you might receive and practice your responses
  • Respond clearly and briefly to give others an opportunity to ask their questions
  • Be respectful; Be honest if you do not know the answer
