The University of Illinois Chicago Special Collections & University Archives

Deed of Gift

Documenting the transaction between the University and you

The deed of gift is a formal, legal agreement between the donor and the University that transfers ownership of and legal rights to the donated materials.  Upon acceptance of the papers, you will receive two originals of the deed of gift.  Please read through the document, sign both originals, and return them in the provided pre-addressed envelope.

The signed deeds of gift must be returned before the papers may be delivered to the library.

Your signed deeds of gift are then signed by the Library Dean and Chancellor.  A fully executed original is returned for your records.
