UIC Library Teaching & Learning Support

Tutorials

Tutorials are a great way to provide just-in-time assistance. They also work really well in a flipped classroom setting. Assign students the tutorial before class, and you'll have more time to cover higher-order skills, do activities, or answer questions. This page includes a selection of tutorials and videos that address several information literacy topics. Feel free to embed them into your Blackboard course.

If there's a topic you'd like us to address in a tutorial, please let us know!

Finding sources

This is an interactive tutorial that guides students through the use of the library's discovery system, Summon. Students can find books, articles, and more on a variety of topics.

Access the tutorial.
