Resources for School Nurses

A curated list of freely available resources that may be of use to nurses working with children in an outpatient setting.

Welcome!

This guide was created to be a resource for school nurses within the entirety of the United States. It was created by the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Library of the Health Sciences and College of Nursing. The goals of the project are to:

  1. Provide a list of publicly available resources to school nurses
  2. Increase patient health education with reading-level and language-appropriate materials.
  3. Increase knowledge of and access to health information by school nurses
  4. Provide a primer on information appraisal
