As protests erupt throughout the nation to hold law enforcement and criminal justice institutions accountable, UIC's Richard J Daley library has created this research guide to help our community understand systemic racism and demand justice for all.

Abolition & Revolutionary Imaginations: Tuesday April 27, 2021 at 12:00-1:30pm CST
 

This event will feature youth and adult organizers who are doing the work to abolish prisons and imagine a world that is away from and outside of carceral punishments. Panelists include: Bresha Meadows from Lifted Voices and UPLC, Lil Tree from Assata's Daughters, Asha Edwards from Dissenters (UIC chapter) and Benji Hart from #NoCopAcademy.
