Online & Distance Education Guide: Information for Faculty

Learn how to get the most out of your UIC Library as an online or distance education student.

Services for Faculty

In this rapidly expanding online environment, we realize that not all faculty are located on or near our physical campus. We strive to maintain a high level of support to those adjunct faculty and professors working with UIC distance education students by providing:

  • Instruction & Workshops
    • Library orientations, Curriculum-based education, database instruction, and more. We can host remote sessions using Blackboard Collaborate.

  • Research & Subject Guides
    • Subject or course-specific pages guide users to the most appropriate library resources for their topic or assignment(s).

  • Interlibrary Loan
    • Obtain articles not available through the UIC library at no fee to the user

  • Research Consultations
    • Connect with your librarian over the phone, via email, or in an online meeting space.
