UIC librarians will be availalbe in E-rooms for virtual office hours during the following times:

Register and attend virtual office hours through E-Rooms. 

To enroll in a session:

1.  Go to http://erooms.uic.edu/
2.  Click on the "Create" link above the login boxes to set up an account
3.  Click on the "Enrollment" link on the left sidebar
4.  Scroll down and select the "Library" folder
5.  Select the Nursing 526 session or RefWorks ession of your choice by clicking on the
"Enroll" link to the right of the session.

To attend a session:

1.  On the day of the session, login a few minutes early by returning to
http://erooms.uic.edu and using the name/password you previously
established.
2.  Click on "My Schedule" on the left sidebar.
3.  You'll see the session you signed up for - click the "Attend" link.  
4.  The Centra E-rooms system will download a piece of software and soon
you'll see the page for the online session appear.
5.  Select the "Audio" link from the menu bar across the top to test out
your speakers, headset, or microphone.
6.  There are icons across the top including one for "Text Chat" which
allows attendees to communicate with the instructors if they do not have
microphones.  Select "Text Chat" to see any messages from the Instructors.
 

This session covers RefWorks, a Web-based bibliographic mangagement application that is licensed by the UIC library. Learn how to create a RefWorks account that you can access both on and off campus, how to export references from databases and import references into RefWorks, how to use Write n Cite to develop a bibliography as you write, and how to generate a bibliography using multiple format options.

Log into Centra E-Rooms to register for one of these RefWorks sessions.
