For Palm devices DynaMed requires 64 MB of disk space on either the device or a memory card.

For Windows devices (Windows Mobile/Pocket PC/Smartphone) 66 MB of disk space is needed.

DynaMed is a clinical tool that provides summaries for 3,000 disease and condition topics. Updated daily, it includes 800 drug summaries from AHFS, plus calculators for math, statistics, by specialty and more.

You will need:

• DynaMed serial number - You can do this one of two ways:
  • Send a request for a serial number to  dynamedsupport@ipnet.com using your UIC email.   Specify the type of PDA you have.
  • Send a request to lib-pref@uic.edu (Library of the Health Sciences-Peoria reference staff). Specify the type of PDA and your UIC affiliation. 

• Skyscape User ID and Password
  • During the installation process you will also prompted for a Skyscape User ID and Password. If you don’t have one you must register with Skyscape at that time in order to proceed with the installation. You can also register with Skyscape before you start the DynaMed installation process.

• iPhone & iPod Touch users:
  • iTunes and iTunes store account for free Skyscape Medical Application
