Regional Assistant Librarian, Urbana

Biography

Currently, I am an Instructor and Assistant Regional Librarian for the Health Sciences at the Urbana campus.  I am responsible for instruction and reference services at LHSU, as well as information technology.  In addition, I serve as the liaison to the School of Nursing on the Urbana campus.

I have a BA in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia, an MIS from the University of North Carolina and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership. from the University of Missouri.  Previously, I have worked professionally in libraries as a reference & technology librarian, and electronic resources librarian, and a graduate assistant in a health sciences library.

Research

My research interests include the information seeking habits of researchers and practitioners, library user experience, discovery of library materials, and librarianship as a career.

Librarianship

I am the liaison to the College of Nursing.  I also coordinate instruction and reference services at the Library of the Health Sciences Urbana.
