For print books, you need an i-Card (UIC Student ID). This can be picked up on-campus. With your i-Card, you have options to borrow books from Non-UIC Libraries: http://library.uic.edu/help/article/1963/use-other-non-uic-libraries (If you unable to visit campus for your i-Card but want to get one, please contact your home department.)

The library also has access to thousands of online books. Available through a variety of platforms, here is an informational page about the different collections: http://researchguides.uic.edu/ebooksYou can search for these items in our catalog by limiting to "electronic resources" and/or "e-books." You may also find e-books or book chapters in some of our databases.
