UICOMP Institutional Review Board: Submit a Protocol

The UICOMP IRB uses an electronic protocol submission system called IRBNet.  IRBNet helps keep us in compliance by providing a complete record of all protocol submissions, amendments, IRB meeting minutes, approval dates, and all correspondance between investigators and IRB members and OHRO staff.  IRBNet also allows investigators to electronically sign documents.  IRBNet contains a library of forms, many of which you will need to fill out when submitting your protocol for IRB Review.

The PIRB Chairs have provided a guide to help you fill out the Project Protocol Review Form, which is required to be submitted in your IRBNet Application.  The Guide contains a sample protocol and explains what information the PIRB needs you to include in your application. 

Submission Deadline - All continuing review documents must be submitted in IRBNet at least two weeks prior to the meeting date that falls before your study expiration date.  **Indicates meetings with early submission deadlines.
