Goal & Format
The overarching goal of the journal club is to build a community of practice focused on innovative academic literature in our field in a collegial environment. Each session will have specific learning objectives relative to the focus topic.
Each month a leading-edge journal article will be selected by the hosts and sent out to the ‘members’ of the journal club. We will then meet at either UICOMP, Methodist-Unity Point, Jump or OSF for an in-depth and lively discussion of the article. Membership is open, free & inclusive of all UICOMP faculty and staff. We ask that you commit to attend at least 4 meetings in a year. The articles will be representative of innovation in the field of medical education and will span the continuum of education from medical students to residency and faculty development.
