The Reserve Desk houses a sizable VHS collection covering many fields of study.

  • Video Cassette players (VCR) are available for in-library viewing of VHS tapes, for further information see the "Where to Watch/Listen?" tab at the top of this page.
  • VHS tapes may be loaned for 7 days to students, faculty* and staff unless otherwise reserved for a class.
  • Some VHS titles are stored off-site in a storage facility. The library's online catalog will list the location as "Daley- Storage" if this is the case. For items appearing in storage, please submit requests for the titles in person or via phone to the Daley Library Circulation Desk (312-996-2724). Items are retrieved and placed on hold generally within 24 hours of request, Monday-Friday.

To access our VHS collection please bring the call number of the item and your UIC iCard to the desk and our friendly staff will assist you.

*Instructors using a film for classroom screenings may request an extended loan period of up to 3 weeks, barring any scheduling conflicts.
